We have received an email from a researcher looking to interview some gardeners in return for a voucher, if you are interested please see the message below, thankyou.

Hello,

I hope you are doing well.

My name is Zoe Upton, and I am a researcher at University College London, working in collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society. I am emailing to ask please whether it might be possible to share details of a research study for which I am recruiting with members of City of Derry & District Gardening Society.

The aim of the study is to explore people's current gardening practices and views on peat-free compost and plants. It is open to anyone who buys, owns or takes care of any kinds of plants, and we are aiming to recruit participants from across the UK. I am reaching out to a range of gardening groups across the UK.

Participants will receive a £25 National Garden Gift Voucher for their time in a 40-60 minute interview.

To find out more, please see the flyer attached.

The study has been approved by the UCL Research Ethics Committee (project ID 0199).

If you have any questions, I'd be very happy to answer!

Thank you very much for your consideration.

Best wishes,

Zoe Upton

Our Society has been running since 1934 and we presently have around 30 members.

We would like to open it up to new prospective members to inject new ideas.

We are a sociable bunch and enjoy a good natter and a cup of tea/coffee at the end of the meeting.

The speakers at each of our meetings are knowledgeable and approachable, the topics vary from garden design to growing and caring for plants and everything in between. They will answer any questions and help where they can.

We have a plant stall where you can buy plants or bring in your excess plants.

The Society aims to visit a few gardens during the year with at least one coach outing.

We look forward to welcoming you, please email us if you have any queries.
