⚠️⚡🎣Following a recent incident at Enagh Lough NIE have approached the local community to help promote this important safety message amongst anglers. Please Share. A number of new signs will also be installed in and around the lough over the coming days with the help of Strathfoyle Community Maintenance

"Look up and look out" is a safety message from Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) to anglers, reminding them to be aware of overhead power lines before fishing, to minimize the risk of accidental contact with the electricity network.

Good News!

Planning permission has been granted for the following:

Change of use from Old School House and Chapel and alteration and extension to existing buildings to become a Rural Greenway Hub for Enagh Country Park Enterprises Ltd and two container units for Use Class A1. Accommodation to include a multi-purpose hall, kitchen prep, wc's and store in the Old School building and a cafe/restaurant, kitchen, wc's, office/admin and external amphitheatre in the Old Chapel building.

This is another positive and welcomed step in the right direction. Alot of hard work has gone into this project to get it to this stage! Big thanks to KJS Architects, Foyle Engineering and everyone who helped with this planning application. It is important however to stress at this stage NO funding has been secured in order to make this project a reality. We will now focus our efforts and energy into developing a business case for this new rural greenway hub comprising a cafe and community hall.

Enagh 'Rural Greenway Hub'
Bringing this site back into community use is important for the local area. Its taken alot of work and a good few years to get this far. This is a positive step forward for this important regeneration project for the Strathfoyle and Greater Enagh area. Big thanks to KJS Architects, RAPID and everyone who has supported the project to date. Capital projects like this often take years to deliver. Fingers crossed the plans can be approved so we can then explore all possible funding and fundraising opportunities to help bring the plans to life and develop the potential of this site for community benefit once more.

Exciting proposals for the ‘Auld School Site’ in Strathfoyle have been newly-submitted to Derry City & Strabane District Council.
