Intergenerational Shadow Puppet Workshops happening this 6-10 July from 11am-1pm at Irish Street Community Centre and Clooney Community Centre with Banyan Theatre.

For children aged 7-12 years to attend with an adult to share the experience; the adult can be a parent or grandparent, aunt or uncle, family friend.

As a researcher my passion is community research and my absolute favourite thing is finding more innovative, creative and dare I suggest, healthier ways to collect data. Robustness and rigour does not have to mean inaccessible or aloof and people are so nervous when we ask them to sit down and chat to us.

So, for an evaluation of an app which is designed to encourage people to get outside, get connected and move more - what could be more fitting than a walk and talk interview.

Walking on the route used regularly by one of our community groups from Waterside NP and chatting as we go. It was lovely to chat to the ladies and get their feedback on using Civic Dollars.

Spoiler alert - they are big fans!!

PLUS — each participant will have one of their photographs featured in the intergenerational *Shared Spaces 2025* photo calendar distributed across the Waterside this autumn! 📅✨

Thanks goes to one of our own volunteers Seamus Crossan for getting everyone over the line....literally. Also pictured another volunteer Joanne Roulston (right) who completed the programme and has set herself a bar for our upcoming glow run 🥳
