‘A DAY IN THE LIFE OF BOMBER COMMAND’

On Saturday 18th July, RAF historian Sean Taylor will present an engaging and immersive talk titled “A Day in the Life of Bomber Command.” Supported by period displays, authentic uniforms, and original artefacts, this presentation offers a vivid insight into the experiences of RAF Bomber.

Thank you for the amazing turn out for Afternoon Tea in the village hall to raise money for our ongoing fund raising towards Fritchley Congregational Church windows renovation taking place this year.

It was a fantastic event and we just love to see everyone out in full supporting this amazing community!!

Fritchley Village Show 29th August 2026!

It’s time to start thinking about what wonderful creations you’ll be entering into this years village show.

If you’re a dab hand at Victoria Sponge, a wizz in the greenhouse with your tomato’s, can whip up a pot of jam, love to craft and create or even have a entry worthwhile picture of the local area or your pet then make sure you’re entering this fun packed day!!

It’s just a bit of fun! There won’t be any sabotage of Chrysanthemums going off! Just a wonderful family day!

Of course there will be lots of homemade cake, freshly baked pizza , tea, coffee, beer, wine and music!!

The first highlight of prizes you could win is this amazing gardening set kindly donated by Laura Woodward from Woodward Estate Agents. You don’t need to even enter anything for a chance of winning this amazing prize. Simply come along and guess the weight of the biggest marrow!!!

Lots more prizes from local businesses will be posted over the coming weeks and months! Entry sheet below. If you could enter online that would be amazing to help us get organised but entries welcome on the day!
