πŸ’™ World Mental Health Day 2026 πŸ’™

Today, we are reminding everyone that mental health matters and nobody should have to face difficult times alone.

At Supporting Communities, we support young people and families experiencing challenges including anxiety, low confidence, isolation, difficult relationships and poor emotional wellbeing.

Through personalised 1:1 support, practical guidance and positive activities, we provide a safe space where people can talk, feel heard and begin taking positive steps forward.

Please take a moment today to check in with someone. A simple conversation, a kind message or taking the time to listen can make a real difference.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our support, please get in touch:

πŸ’™ Support that starts with you

At Supporting Communities, our 1:1 youth and family services offer personalised support to help young people, parents, and families build confidence, improve wellbeing, and work through everyday challenges.

Alongside practical advice and emotional support, positive activities give families and young people the chance to try something new, spend time together, and create happy memories. 🌟

We need your support to help make this possible.

Donations help us pay for everyday essentials for families facing hardship, as well as activities and experiences that they may otherwise be unable to afford. This could mean help with food, toiletries or clothing, or the opportunity to enjoy a creative session, cinema visit or day out.

Every contribution, whatever the size, helps us respond to the needs of the people we support.

β˜€οΈ Our Summer Engagement 2026! β˜€οΈ

Over just six weeks, our team delivered an incredible 87 mobile, detached, and group sessions across local communities.

Through our mobile youth provision, outreach work, and group activities, we achieved:

🚐 87 sessions delivered
πŸ‘₯ 1,223 total engagements
πŸ“Š An average of 15 young people per session

From sports and gaming to positive activities, conversations and targeted support, our team created safe and welcoming spaces where young people could connect, have fun and access trusted support throughout the summer.

🚐πŸ₯Šβš½ Over the summer, Supporting Communities was proud to support The Breakaway Project through our mobile youth sessions!

Working in partnership with Unity Gym Heanor and Heanor and Langley Mill Police SNT brought positive activities, trusted youth workers, and a safe, welcoming space directly into the community. Young people enjoyed boxing, football, gaming, and other activities while building confidence, developing new skills, and forming positive relationships.

A huge thank you to Amber Valley Borough Council for funding this work and helping us create more opportunities for local young people. πŸ’™

🌿 A huge thank you to the Friends of the Cromford Canal!🌿

Their fantastic volunteers have been helping us clear and tidy the outdoor space behind the Railway Carriage Youth Club.

Their hard work has made a brilliant difference and brought us another step closer to creating a safer, cleaner, and more welcoming outdoor space for our young people and the wider community to enjoy.

We really appreciate everyone who gave their time and energy to support us, thank you! πŸ‘πŸ’š

We want to wish a huge GOOD LUCK to all the young people receiving their exam results! πŸ€žπŸ’™

Whatever results you receive, remember that your grades do not define you or your future. There are always different routes, opportunities and people who can support you with your next steps.

Be proud of the hard work you’ve put in, celebrate how far you’ve come, and look forward to what comes next. 🌟

From everyone at Supporting Communities, we’re wishing you the very best of luck! πŸ’™
