🎉This week, we attended the Linked Up Event, kindly organised by Derby City Life Links alongside the Volunteer Centre Derby to get local people connected with volunteering opportunities.🎉

➡The aim of this session was to show those working with Derby City Life Links the different pathways they may take upon receiving support from their services.

🩷Volunteering is a great pathway to go; it enables people to build up their skills, confidence, experiences and open doors for other opportunities.🩷

🎉This week, we will be at the Linked Up Event, which has been kindly organised by and .🎉

🙌The session will bring together various services across Derby and Derbyshire, specialising in mental health support, drug and alcohol recovery, volunteering, employment, food banks and more.🙌

➡We will be there to discuss all things volunteer-related here at Good Neighbours and the opportunity to volunteer with us to support local people in the community who may be faced with loneliness, isolation, or require support for day-to-day tasks.

🎉This week, we had the pleasure of attending and presenting at the Volunteer Coordinators Forum, kindly hosted by the Volunteer Centre Derby 🎉

📌During my presentation, I shared an overview of the Good Neighbours service, the journey I’ve been on over the past year to re-establish the service, and the vital role that the Team Kinetics volunteering platform has played in its success today.

🩷Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Without their time, dedication and support, the difference we’re able to make in our communities simply wouldn’t be possible. Team Kinetics has been invaluable in helping us recruit a large number of our volunteers and continues to play an important role in supporting the service🩷.

💬Stef from the Volunteer Centre led the session around the theme of recruitment, which sparked some fantastic conversations, discussions and ideas as we shared experiences and explored ways to support one another in our volunteer-based projects. I particularly enjoyed hearing how others are overcoming barriers to volunteering and exploring ways to make volunteering more accessible, enjoyable and supportive for everyone.

🙌I would highly recommend these sessions to fellow Volunteer Coordinators, they’re a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn from others and share ideas.👐
