The mission of the organisation is to Empower the Community living in deprived areas of Derby through The Advancement of Education & providing Recreational Activities leading to Community Development so that their Needs in selfhelp, selfconfidence, selfreliance and selfrespect as a community is enabled and enhanced with a view to raise aspirations, leading to higher levels of satisfaction & a bett
er quality of life. Our aims are as follows:
a)Early intervention for the care and education of children in the interest of social welfare and improving conditions of living. b)Improve parent understanding of education with a view to develop student achievement. This will result in parents having a better understanding of their child s education, develop positive relationships and support the learning and education of the children. c)Raise Aspirations, especially within young people with a view to change their outlook on life by increasing confidence and skills. d)To Empower & Develop the ability of local people to do things for themselves. This will result in a higher number of people volunteering and becoming actively involved within the community, promoting the Our Community Our Family Our Responsibility ethos. e)Provide a number of Community and Recreational activities to improve the community awareness of issues with the view to prevent & tackle socioeconomic problems.
