📢 Stitch & Fix Hub Closed This Thursday

Just a quick note to let everyone know that the MOSAICC Stitch & Fix Hub will be closed on Thursday 11 June while we reorganise the space.

Racism is not a ‘feeling.’ It is not a minor disagreement. It is an indelible stain on any society that claims to believe in fairness, justice or democracy.

It is also a game changer, because once racism enters the room, the conversation is no longer neutral. It becomes about belonging and othering. Who is seen as human. Who is treated as suspect. Who is allowed complexity, and who is reduced to stereotype.

What is being dressed up here as ‘truth-telling’ and who can be blamed, at fault or wrong, sounds more like victimology on steroids, a narrative that turns accountability into attack, and equality into threat.

Racism does not just wound individuals. It poisons public debate, distorts history, and gives people permission to dehumanise others while pretending they are simply “saying what everyone thinks” and explaining the reason why they bumped into your parked car… quite simply you shouldn’t be here!

We should be deeply wary of any argument that needs racism in order to make its point.
