On Saturday 8th June, Little Eaton Gardening Club are holding an Open Garden Event. There will be 7 gardens open from 1pm to 5pm, with refreshments and a plant stall at the OAP Hall on Barley Close. Tickets will be £2.50 per person, children free. Tickets will be available shortly from Committee members and will be available to buy on the day. All donations of cakes and plants will be most welcome.
Keep an eye open for posters that will be going up in the Village about this event.

The Gardening Club has had two outings this summer, to Wollerton Old Hall and Melbourne Hall. On both occasions the weather was good and the trips were well attended. The next meeting of the Gardening Club is at the Village Hall at 7pm on the 5th September when the talk will be ‘Right Plant, Right Place’ by Stephen Lovell. New members are always welcome.

The Little Eaton Gardening Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month, 7 pm till 9 pm in the Village Hall.
The next meeting is on the 1st November, the talk is ‘Once upon a time at Christmas‘ by Tracey Akehurst.

The new season of meetings in the Village Hall starts next Wednesday 6th September at 7pm. The talk is 'The Bulb Year'and is by Kevin Pratt who is a RHS Gold Winner.

A reminder that the 52nd Little Eaton Produce Show takes place on Saturday 9th September at 3pm in the Village Hall. Admissions for the show are accepted from 9am to 11.30am on the Saturday.

The Gardening Club had an enjoyable day trip out yesterday. We had a visit to Reg Taylor's Garden Centre, Southwell and then went onto Pureland Japanese Garden near Newark.
The garden was very peaceful as shown on the enclosed photos.

The recent Christmas outing to Hardwick Hall was most enjoyable. The theme of the Hall decorations were 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'. The most eye catching decorations were the 'reindeer', positioned on the main entrance road to the Hall.

The next meeting, incorporating the AGM, will be on the first Wednesday of the month, the 4th January at 7pm in the Village Hall.
