Thanks to the generous funding from the ๐‹๐ž๐š๐ ๐ฎ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐…๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐๐ฌ, ๐‘๐จ๐ฒ๐š๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ซ๐›๐ฒ ๐‡๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ, the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) department at the King's Treatment Centre (Royal Derby Hospital) now has a brand-new reclining chair to support patients undergoing ear procedures. Clinical Nurse Specialist Natasha Lucas shared:

โ€œThe chair can be reclined and locked into the optimal position, offering enhanced comfort and safety benefits for patients. The height adjustment also helps protect staff from back and neck strain.โ€

The chair was officially presented by Jan Newbury, Vice Chair of the League of Friends, Royal Derby Hospital, who said: โ€œWeโ€™re proud to support the ENT team with this addition, helping to improve patient care and support staff wellbeing.โ€

The hospital gave a big thank you to the League of Friends team and their supporters for making a difference.

The stores team at the League of Friends Royal Derby hospital would really like to find an extra volunteer to help sort out the weekly food delivery for about 3 hours each Monday morning. Could you help? Or can you mention it to a friend who is looking for a worthwhile activity! It's an early start, so once a fortnight would be ok if you can't commit to every week. Welcome to The League of Friends Royal Derby Hospital (RDH).
We are a group of volunteers who run shops, tea bars and ward trolleys at the Royal Derby Hospital. Our sandwiches, snacks and drinks are affordable and varied. Our purpose is to raise funds to buy essential equipment for the hospital.
We have over a hundred volunteers, and we would love to welcome some more people to join us, so that we can offer more services in the hospital.
