HOPE Centre DERBY Bringing Hope To The City! We have been open since May 2011 and exist to serve the City of Derby and the community within.

We run a food bank once a week, an elderly group and a toddlers group! The Hope Centre aims:-

• To tackle deprivation experienced by individuals, young people, single parents & families in our local community, helping to restore personal dignity.
• To support the most vulnerable within our communities, through 1-2-1 support, signposting & advocacy.
• To provide a safe & welcoming environment for individuals to grow and face the daily challenge of difficult situations.

We ask questions not to embarrass anyone, but to understand — and to look after every donation fairly. We're also upfront that we're here for a season, not forever: our heart is to help you back on your feet, never to keep you dependent on us.

We're here to serve, and we count that a privilege.

Have you ever stopped to think how far a single tin of food travels — in love — before it reaches someone's table? 💚

Our donations come from so many kind hands: individuals and neighbours, community groups and companies, churches and schools, and some big grocery shops.

Love really does come from far away. It's a flow — and every one of you is part of it. We're so grateful. 🙏

We need to be honest with you — our stock is running low, and with the school holidays coming up, more families than ever will be turning to us this summer. 💚
What we most urgently need:

🥫 Hot meat tins (curry, meat & veg, mince, stew)
🍪 Snacks for kids' parcels — biscuits, crisps, chocolate bars, cartons of juice
🧴 Toiletries

We're also low on:
Cereal
UHT milk
Tinned beans, soup, tomatoes & spaghetti
Tinned tuna & cold meats (like corned beef)
Tinned fruit & rice pudding
Hot drinks (tea & coffee)

One thing we DON'T need right now: pasta — we're fully stocked, thank you! 🙌
