Really chuffed to have come 2nd in the Small Projects category at the National ACoRP Awards yesterday. Thanks to everyone that supported the projects, especially all the children that painted our bugs!!

To celebrate we are very happy to unveil our new Bug Path made up of over 300 hand painted stones.

The stones were decorated by pupils at St Werburghs, Springfield and Asterdale Primary Schools.

The project was funded by the Association of Community Rail Partnerships and was supported by Network Rail, East Midlands Trains, ASDA Derby, GrowWild England, Blakefield Nurseries and the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.

This support has also enabled us to create a number of flower beds at the station to attract more wildlife.

A big thank you to all our supporters.

Very busy day at the station today despite the weather. Thanks to Network Rail, East Midlands Trains for their support and to St Werburghs, Springfield and Asterdale Primary Schools for their artwork. 🐛🐜🐞

Yesterday we received reports of antisocial behaviour at the station, as such British Transport Police have increased patrols in the area. If you see any such behaviour please report it using the text number 61016.

Lots of people we speak to seem to think that you can only get a direct train from Spondon to Derby or Nottingham, whereas you can actually get direct to loads of places.

What a busy day at the station today. We are very proud to unveil as part of our ACORP funded scheme. We also built a , had a general tidy up and added some new signage, come and have a look for yourself.
