🌱 Little Eaton Village Hall Goes Solar! ☀️

We’re delighted to share that the new solar PV system at Little Eaton Village Hall is now installed and generating clean, renewable electricity.

This fantastic project has been made possible thanks to the generous support of H***e Lea, through their Community Decarbonisation Fund. We are extremely grateful for their investment in our village and their commitment to supporting local carbon reduction initiatives.

The solar installation will significantly reduce the Hall’s carbon emissions while helping to secure its long-term sustainability as one of the most important community hubs in Little Eaton. From pre-school and youth café sessions to sports clubs, WI meetings, fitness classes and the annual carnival, the Hall plays a vital role in village life — and this project helps protect it for the future.

Alongside the solar installation, the Environmental Action Group have also:

♻️ Created a Community Recycling Hub
🌳 Continued native tree planting in the village
🧹 Expanded our community litter picking equipment

Together, these initiatives are helping Little Eaton reduce waste, cut carbon and strengthen community connections.

A huge thank you again to H***e Lea for supporting our vision, and to all the volunteers and residents who continue to make these projects possible.

Please take extra care when walking on the path near to the village hall. This is due to water leaking across the path which the Little Eaton Parish Council are aware of.

Please can the owner of the car in the photo with registration starting DE please remove from the Little Eaton Village Hall carpark as soon as possible? It has been there a number of weeks. The police have also been made aware.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Village Hall lights switch on today. It was fabulous to see so many join in the festivities. Thanks to the Kitchen Chorus choir for their festive singing, to Santa for taking the time out of his busy schedule to lead the countdown and to all the volunteers who helped pull this annual event together.

Such a wonderful community event and the Parish Council's own creation will be revealed at the Village Hall on 7th December...the same night as the lights switch on and village Christmas market. Make sure you support this great event throughout December

Tickets available for this fantastic charity event

Our very own Kitchen Chorus choir who rehearse weekly Little Eaton Village Hall are performing a Christmas concert on Tuesday 16 December at St Peter's Church in Belper. They've been practising their Christmas repertoire since the beginning of September and will look forward to performing to a big audience in December. All money raised is going to Maggie's, a cancer care charity.
