Weather permitting, works are underway as of this week to modify the junction between Chellaston Road, Merrill Way and Boulton Lane.

There is some cycling infrastructure proposed as part of these works but it doesn't appear to offer any useful purpose.

Come along to another social ride organised by Ayup Bikes.

A gentle ride, largely traffic-free and there's a cafe stop halfway.

aYuP bikes is organising another group ride suitable for all abilities. A great opportunity to head out on a (largely) traffic-free ride to Swarkestone Garden Centre:

Stop for a cuppa.....and a pick up a bag of compost and some plants if you have a utility bike or trailer!

On a wander around Derby we spotted that another cycle repair shop has closed. Judging by the most recent Google reviews it would appear the owner ran into some personal issues and couldn't fulfill customer orders which were largely related to e-scooter.

Possibly another Derby first. A parallel crossing on Derwent Street.

Not sure on its real value here but nonetheless, shows the council is slowly trying to incorporate some decent cycle features into road layouts.
