To mark International Workers Memorial 2025, Branch Secretary Dawn Borthwick and Treasurer Karl Daly were joined by MP Baggy Shanker, in laying a wreath at Rolls-Royce Marble Hall, in memorial to colleagues now departed but not forgotten.

Branch Equalities, Officer Rob Rowan, took part in the cycle ride across Derbyshire Peak District to raise money for Umbrella Derby and Derbyshire.
Umbrella is a charity supporting disabled children and young people, and their families; across Derby City and Southern Derbyshire.

On Saturday, branch member Will Blurton, along with other members of Amber Community First Responders, gave a CPR & Defibrillator Use, with a Q&A afterwards.

Due to cuts in funding the Amber Community First Responders, based in Ilkeston; had nowhere to store their equipment and branch were delighted to donate funds for a years storage of their equipment, making it easily accessible to attend emergencies as and when required.

Chair of branch was on hand to support Notts Pride on Saturday at Sneinton Market; along with Unite East Mids Regional Secretary Paresh Patel, who always shows up to Pride to show solidarity as an LGBT+ ally.

Upcoming Prides are Leicester on 31st August and Derby on September 14th.
