🌳🪵 Over the last few days, a couple of our volunteers have been moving saplings from overgrown areas of the woods and replanted them along the top path.

Hopefully, they will now be able to flourish!

🌳🪵 It’s a new year and the team have been out for their first activity day of 2026!

The main aim was to cut back lots of the overgrowth and brambles that have grown over winter — these are the ongoing maintenance jobs that volunteers make such a difference with!

🌳🪵 A very productive AGM for the Friends of Ladbroke Wood tonight.

Barrie, our Chair, and Tracey, our Secretary have been re-elected to continue in their roles.

We also discussed the activity plan for 2026 and some very exciting developments.

🌳🪵 A few of our members have been out recently in our beautiful woods, getting lots done ahead of the winter months setting in.

One of the more significant projects includes the installation of a bridge across the brook — it looks fantastic!

‼️ Also, the AGM for the Friends of Ladbroke Wood will take place on Friday, 14th November starting at 7pm at the Jolly Hatters Pub, Town Lane.

🌳 Our next activity day will be this Sunday, 5th October 2025.

We will meet, as usual, by the garages at the bottom of Jackson Gardens at 10.30am.

We now have plenty of equipment for cutting back weeds etc, but we do need the bodies to make a significant impact.

Please join us if you can, even if it’s just for an hour - every little helps!
