Denmead WI Belles page. We meet the first Wednesday of the month (except Aug) at the Denmead Memorial Hall at 7.30pm. (not August).

We were founded in 2009 to bring together like minded ladies, that would seek Fun, Friendship, Learning and lots of Laughter. WI Belles is a modern fresher take on the Women's Institute, with the hope of encouraging the next generation to join in and continue the ethos that the WI was set up to achieve. for more information on the Women's Institute, please visit their website: www.thewi.org.uk

We meet 7.30pm on the first Wed of the month at the Denmead Memorial Hall, Hambledon Road, Denmead.

Some members of our Garden group enjoyed a trip to Haslar memorial gardens today, a garden cared for by veterans for veterans, they opened to public occasionally for us to enjoy,
Lots of history and learned that 13000 graves are there from war casualties and staff/ patients from the hospital over the centuries,

Lovely chatty skittles evening at Merchistoun Hall. The people running the hall are really friendly and helpful. Also raised some money for The Elizabeth Foundation with a raffle 😁😁

Some of our members visited Chithurst Buddhist monastery, visitors are welcome to look around their tranquil temple and grounds,and attend their midday meal ceremony.

Denmead WI BELLES has a gardening group . We helped one of our members tidy up their garden . We had a lovely busy chatty day and it was lovely to see the before & after pics ! So nice to be part of a lovely ladies group & help each other out . That’s what this group is all about !

Denmead WI Belles August meeting- come along to our first August meeting on Wednesday 5 August at 7pm for an evening of fun games, the chance to have a chat with other Belles and some delicious homemade scones, jam and clotted cream- we won’t judge if you put jam or cream first on your scone 🤣

For the first time Denmead WI Belles went camping - and what a laugh it was (most of the time 🤣)! The temperature was around 35 degrees but we loved it. We even pencilled in a date for next year. 🏕️
