🌿 Community Kindness in Bloom! 🌿

Llandyrnog Garden Club may be a newly formed group, but they’re already making a wonderful impact.

During their recent summer visit to a beautiful local garden, members took the opportunity to raise funds for Vale of Clwyd Mind—specifically in support of DORIS (our Outreach Rural Information Service).

The visit took place at Castanwydden, where members were warmly welcomed by Mr Tony Burrow. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed exploring his stunning garden, filled with a rich variety of plants and thoughtful planting displays.

Pictured here is the club’s Chair, John Rowlands, presenting Tony with a garden voucher as a token of appreciation for so kindly opening his garden to the group.

Vale of Clwyd Mind is incredibly grateful for gestures like this—especially when they come unprompted and reflect such genuine generosity and community spirit. Thank you to everyone involved—you are truly “minded” to make a difference. Llandyrnog Community, Cymuned Llandyrnog

Celebrating Chris Davies – Dedicated Service Award Winner 2026

We are incredibly proud to share that Chris Davies has won the Dedicated Service Award at this year’s DVSC Volunteer Awards.

Chris was presented with her certificate by David Jones, High Sheriff for Clwyd, at the awards ceremony on Friday 5th June.

Chris has given thousands of hours of her time to volunteering at Vale of Clwyd Mind (and specifically at Mahoney's), showing unwavering compassion, kindness and dedication to supporting others. Her impact on both our service users and wider community is truly immeasurable.

This recognition is so well deserved – thank you, Chris, for everything you do

Photos from the final two walks of our Well-being Walk Series 🌿

What a fantastic way to finish our 8-week journey!

Our seventh walk, joined by Clwyd Wynne for a fascinating Walk & Talk around Denbigh, exploring the town’s historic buildings, while our final walk took us through the beautiful surroundings of Loggerheads Country Park.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part throughout the series. It’s been wonderful to see so many people coming together to support their wellbeing, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with others. 💚

We’d also like to thank Marcus Movers for generously funding the project and helping make these walks possible.
