Turn the Tide Teignbridge Turn the Tide is a fun, free, family-friendly environmental festival for all ages. We are a Community Interest Company, non-profit, run entirely by volunteers.

Announcing Turn the Tide, an annual event with Town Council. We also organise complementary events and activities throughout the year. Our first event was on 2nd June 2022 - on the Lawn, in the marquee, and other venues in Dawlish. On May29th 2023, we held our second event on the lawn and an evening fundraiser, 'Choral Tide' at the Hope Centre in Dawlish. In 2024, we are planning for two

days, 8th and 9th June. Turn the Tide celebrates Dawlish Parish’s wonderful seaside location, coastline and waterways, featuring environmental, local, sustainable and ethical charities, organisations and businesses in and around Dawlish. Bringing a sea change to our town! Organised in conjunction with Dawlish Town Council by Dawlish Wildlife Wardens, Dawlish Against Plastic and Reconnect magazine.

And that’s a wrap on Turn the Tide 2026 🥲

A huge thank you to everyone who came along today, as well as all our fantastic stalls, traders, performers, volunteers and contributors who helped make the day so special. Particular thanks to Dawlish Town Council Events and Dawlish College for supporting and hosting the event.

We hope you all had a brilliant day celebrating our coast, community and environment with us.

And we’re already looking ahead to next year…

Turn the Tide 2027 will tell the story of The Giant of the Brook - an ancient Devon water giant whose strength has faded as rivers, brooks and coastlines face pollution, over-extraction and climate change. Together, the people of Dawlish will help restore the giant’s strength through creativity, community and action.

We can’t wait to share more with you soon 💙

Unfortunately, as today’s Turn the Tide festival is taking place within a school building and grounds, dogs are not permitted on site (with the exception of assistance dogs).

We know many people love bringing their four-legged friends along to community events, so we’re really sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience caused. Thank you for understanding and helping us respect the venue’s rules.
