Volunteering Opportunities
We rely on people like you playing their part to give young people opportunities to dream big, give it a go, and build skills for life. You shape what you do and the time you have to give. Scouts happens when a lot of us give a little – and no, you don’t need to be an outdoors expert or have been a Scout previously to volunteer!
And volunteering’s a two-way street. Research shows that it improves your wellbeing and helps you build career-boosting skills.
We’re looking for people to help out in all sorts of ways - at the moment, there are opportunities to get involved with us:
volunteers to join our Beaver, Cub or Scout Leadership Teams to directly support our youth members
volunteers to form a Fundraising Team to organise and co-ordinate events throughout the year
volunteers to form a Marquee Team to manage bookings and setup our new marquee which is now available for hire
We are one of the largest Scout Groups in the North East of Scotland, and every week we help over 130 young people develop skills they will use for the rest of their lives - but none of this would happen without a dedicated team of volunteers!
Our Fundraising and Marquee Teams are critical as raising extra funds means we can continue to keep our annual fees low and continue to provide a wide range of exciting opportunities for our young people.
We'll give you all the support and training you need for any of the roles above so if you are interested or have any questions, please get in touch by emailing [email protected]. More information on joining Scouts as an adult volunteer can also be found on our website here.
