The very first National Magazine Day is taking place on 14 October 2026.

More than 60,000 magazines are set to be distributed to children across the country, helping young people discover the joy of reading for pleasure.

Magazines can be a powerful gateway to literacy, particularly for reluctant or less confident readers. They offer engaging, accessible content that can spark curiosity and encourage children to explore other forms of reading.
