Darwen Girls U11s 💜Flag Bearers at Blackburn Rovers

huge moment for our Darwen Girls U11s!
We’re proud to announce that our girls will be official Flag Bearers for Blackburn Rovers v Wrexham on Saturday 24th October. This is an incredible opportunity for them to represent the club, walk out at Ewood Park, and showcase the confidence, teamwork and spirit they bring every single week.

The girls have earned this through their attitude, commitment and love for the game 💜and we know they’ll do us proud.

Photos will be posted at the weekend, so keep an eye on our page for all the highlights.

💜 Darwen Girls FC Strength. Pride. Together.⚽️

18/10/2026

⚽️Coachability they absorb information, apply it, and adapt mid‑game. That’s elite youth behaviour

⚽️Team cohesion the togetherness is becoming a weapon. They work for each other, not just with each other.

⚽️Confidence and identity you can see the belief now. They step onto the pitch expecting to compete, not hoping to.

⚽️Technical growth first touches, decision‑making, scanning, passing speed… all sharper, all more intentional

⚽️Physical development stronger in duels, more resilient, better stamina, better recovery.

Unbelievable development is never random. It’s the result of:

💜consistent standard

💜clear messaging

💜safe, inclusive coaching

💜players feeling valued

💜club environment that lets girls thrive

Absolutely ⚽️ their development is phenomenal, and it’s happening because of a perfect mix of hard work, confidence building, and the environment you’ve created at Darwen Girls FC.

💜💜What makes their development stand out💜💜

⚽️ Consistency 💜 week after week they show up, learn, and push themselves.

⚽️Confidence growth 💜 you can see it in how they communicate, tackle, and make decisions.

⚽️Team identity 💜 they play for each other, not just themselves.

⚽️Resilience 💜 setbacks don’t stop them; they bounce back stronger.

⚽️ Skill progression 💜 their technical ability has jumped massively this season.

Another great performance this morning against a very gritty and feisty Readstone team. Both sets of girls played well and was a good game to watch.
