Thank you all those lovely people who visited us at the Darvel Gala. It was a blast.

The name the hedgehog competition was won by a Gillfoot resident. He or she is now called HEDGEY.

The big prize, the red quill, was pull by a young man who was soooo excited. And yes his gran gave me permission to put his photo on the page.
PS you can see HEDGEY behind him.

Our speaker last Tuesday was Steven Card a 22 veteran Royal Navy Submariner. He is now a Designer Trainer ( if I have got that wrong someone will correct me).
His description of his job was fascinating where he and his team create bespoke training in a variety of types for the Royal Navel.
Steven also took us on his journey through the Navy expanding on his milestones along the way.

Thanks to all who stopped at The Rotary stall at Galston Gala yesterday to play a game or just to chat.

A huge Thank You too all those invitees who attended our Discover Rotary Events. Lots of chat, laughter and ohhs as people looked back into the 50 years of pictures in the archives. Also many questions asked and answered about the information on the walls.

Rotarian Liz McCall presented a Loudoun Rotary Banner made of Darvel Lace to the President of Selkirk Rotary and joined them for dinner to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. The theme was the 70’s and they all look fabulous. Congratulation Selkirk.
