Freya and Slim have fitted in to the new herd well. Slim went in like a bull in a china shop to begin with trying to protect his girlfriend Freya (who is absolutely capable of protecting herself and him 😂) so he is having to make mends now with the other mares 😆… horse politics, always fascinating but a bit more straightforward than human politics 🙄.

8 years ago we planted this corner of a field with chestnuts to hopefully one day be used for our sustainable fencing 😊....

8 years ago we planted this corner of a field with chestnuts to hopefully one day be used for our sustainable fencing 😊. Some of the trees are over 10ft tall now (and no we didn’t put plastic guards around them, kill the deer or strim the brambles constantly as advice by others) and the brambles are doing a brilliant job of protecting them ❤️

Sorry for my absence over the past few days, it’s been so busy in the shop for Dartmouth Regatta and then today at the Stokefleming Hort and Sport village show. We took Pony and Bean who were superstars. It was a great afternoon where we took £300 on second hand books, a Teddy tangle and the Tombola ❤️
