Darlington Cake Decorating and Sugarcraft Club

Darlington Cake Decorating and Sugarcraft Club Darlington Branch
of the British Sugarcraft Guild
meets 3rd Saturday of the month
2-4pm You will be amazed at what can be done with sugar. Meet new friends.

Darlington BSG started in 1981 to promote and stimulate interest in Sugarcraft as an art form. Our regional branch is just one of many in a large national group of 'The British Sugarcraft Guild'. As you can see by the logo 'my craft is my art'

We are a group of like-minded people with a passion for cake decorating. Such a lot can be gained from watching our demonstrations at our monthly meetings.

The various techniques on a vast number of mediums from chocolate, marzipan, flower paste, royal and butter icing, patchwork to painting on plaques, covering cakes to boards. Why not come to one of our monthly meetings? The British Sugarcraft Guild is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of cake decorating and sugarcraft; run by a committee of volunteers elected from the membership, members include hobby cake makers, home bakers, specialist retailers, manufacturers, and renowned sugarcraft professionals. The Guild’s aims are to:

• Promote & Stimulate interest in sugarcraft

• Share Knowledge

💔 We need your help — and we want to be honest with you

Yesterday, our family business was the victim of a serious cyberattack.
Alice, who many of you know, had her email hacked overnight by criminals based in Vietnam. Within minutes, her personal Facebook, her personal Instagram, her home baking business Willaston Whisk Facebook and Instagram pages, and our very own Karen Davies Sugarcraft Instagram were all taken down.
Years of memories. Years of work. Gone in three minutes.
Alice has spent years building our Instagram page. And on Saturday she was literally at her local village market selling cakes, talking to new customers, full of excitement about what’s coming next — new moulds, new classes, new things for all of you. And then Sunday morning she woke up to this.

We are fighting hard to get everything back, and we will not give up. But in the meantime, if you have ever loved our moulds, bought from us, taken a class, or simply followed along and enjoyed what we do — now is the time we really need you.

🛒 Our shop is still fully open at www.karendaviessugarcraft.co.uk — every order right now means the world to us and helps keep this family business standing while we recover.

📩 You can reach Alice directly at [email protected]

🔁 And if you could share this post — it would honestly mean everything. The cake decorating community has always been the most supportive, generous community we know. We’re counting on that today more than ever.

Karen, Alice
