Please take note and this is a great vets that’s just opened in the North East. We’ve used Martin for years with our fosters 🐶

☀️🐾 Hot weather is lovely for us… but it can be much harder for our pets! 🐾☀️

With temperatures rising again, it’s important to remember that dogs and cats can overheat much more quickly than we do.

A few simple things can make a big difference:

💧 Make sure fresh water is always available
🌳 Provide plenty of shade and cool places to rest
🚶 Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening
🔥 Avoid hot pavements that can burn paws
🚗 Never leave pets in a parked car – even for a few minutes

Keep an eye out for signs of heatstroke, including excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting or collapse.

Some pets are at even greater risk, including older pets, overweight pets, flat-faced breeds such as French Bulldogs and Pugs, and pets with underlying health conditions.

Stay safe, enjoy the sunshine, and give your furry family members a little extra care during the warm weather. ❤️
