🏍️ Easter Egg Run Returns to Our Hospitals!
The much-loved Easter Egg Run is coming back this year, bringing community spirit to Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham.
📅 Date: Sunday 5 April
More than 800 bikers will deliver Easter treats and spread joy to patients, visitors, and staff. This annual tradition highlights the generosity of the biking community and the positive impact it has on our hospitals. 💛
Please note:
- Darlington Memorial Hospital: Temporary disruption around the main car park and entrance between 10:30am–12:00pm.
- University Hospital of North Durham: Please avoid the bottom overflow car park on the day.

We’re excited to share that the much-loved Easter Egg Run is coming back this Easter, bringing community spirit to Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham!

Thanks to your generous donations to our charity, we’ve been able to purchase a Rhino sensory machine to support children who are neurodivergent at Darlington Memorial Hospital.

This specialist equipment will help create a calm, comforting environment, making hospital visits a little easier and less overwhelming for young patients.

We are looking for donations of wool to support our wonderful knitters who create comforting items for patients across our hospitals and community services. 💚

Your donated wool will be turned into blankets, hats, cardigans and other handmade items for patients of all ages.

As we look back on 2025, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported our Charity – our fundraisers, donors, volunteers, staff and communities.

We’ve shared some amazing moments and events in 2025, all helping us make a real difference for patients, families and staff across our hospitals and community services.

We’re now looking ahead with excitement to another fantastic year in 2026, with even more opportunities to get involved and support local healthcare.
