Happy Easter!

This week will be a bit different to normal! During Easter it is traditional that the bells do not ring until Easter Sunday.
Luckily, the Church has allowed us to have a silent practice tonight! (Wednesday 1st April, 7pm until 9pm)
Below is a recent clip of what it is like to ring when the bells are fully muffled!

Last night we found a mouse up the tower!!

Luckily this one was wooden and made from one of our recently broken stays! Thank you Rob’s Wood Turning for creating this for us!

Yesterday we had a visiting band up the tower who produced some very nice ringing!

Today the tower will be open from 11am until 1pm for tower tours!

Afterwards we have Barnsley and District society visiting for their monthly ringing meeting so the bells will be ringing from 2pm onwards!
