Everyone is welcome to join, for some crafting, company, chats or a cuppa

Today we have printing with nature, and next month we’ll be planning a halloween extravaganza, stay tuned!

Midlothian & East Lothian Business Awards!

We were delighted to see The Corner Shop Collective as a finalist for Retailer of the Year!

Alongside one of One Dalkeith’s charity partners Buildu Scotland , who were finalists for Best Community Impact Award.

Build U Scotland is a social enterprise supporting women facing barriers to opportunity, confidence and self-belief, helping them move towards their potential and shape lives that matter to them. We’re so proud to be partnered with them and to celebrate the incredible work they do.

We’d also like to extend our congratulations to our Charity Chair, Douglas Strachan, who represented One Dalkeith and CSY Architects, who were finalists for High Growth Business of the Year.

A brilliant celebration of the organisations, businesses and people making a difference across Midlothian and East Lothian!

Member Project: The Mush Room!

Meet McKenzie, one of One Dalkeith’s wonderful members, who recently received £500 from the Kew Gardens Grow Wild Youth Grant to bring her project, The Mush Room, to life!

McKenzie undertook foraging training with Donna Strachan, researched local plants and herbs, and created her own zine exploring their folklore, history and uses.

This weekend, she brought The Mush Room to Vogrie Pogrie festival, running two fantastic foraging walks and sharing her knowledge with the festival community.

As always, McKenzie’s passion, curiosity and work ethic never fail to impress us. Congratulations McKenzie on a brilliant project!

A huge thank you to Kew Gardens Grow Wild for funding the project, Big Wild Life for providing the training, and Vogrie Pogrie Festival for giving McKenzie a platform to shine!
