We are seeking a Team Leader to coordinate and deliver high-quality, self-directed play opportunities across Midlothian. On appointment, the postholder will lead Out2Play, using the play rangers model of delivery to enable children to play out in greenspaces close to their homes. We’re looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team and help sustain and grow our work supporting children and families across Midlothian.

This is a key role, with a strong (but not exclusive) focus on trusts, foundations and lottery funding, working closely with our CEO at an exciting time as we mark our 30th anniversary.

We are taking referrals for our next block of Play in Mind woodland sessions - all free to participants. They will take place in Dalkeith over 12 weeks, Friday 3rd July – 18th September 2026

If you would like to refer a child aged 7-12 with emerging mental health challenges, please complete the online referral form at https://forms.office.com/e/fAJTLGRcJ3 . Parents/carers can refer their child, as can professionals working with the family.

The closing date for referrals is Friday 12 June, but please note it may close earlier if a high volume is received.

Children in Midlothian don’t always play out independently due to hazards and safety concerns, including bullying. Our Out2Play sessions create a supportive presence in local greenspaces, enabling children to exercise their right to play.
