Contratulations to David from 14th Midlothian Bonnyrigg Scout Group who voluteers as a Young Leader in Beavers and Scouts. David has completed his Young Leader training, by doing 11 modules, including First Response and 4 missions. This is on top of his recent award of the Saltire Summit Award for 200 hours volunteering as a Young Person. Well done.

Congratulations to David a Young Leader who was awarded his Saltire Summit Award for volunteering in excess of 200 hours at the Midlothian Volunteer Awards at Newbattle Abbey College this Volunteers week.

David has began volunteering aged 14 and has since become a Young Leader with the 14th Midlothian Bonnyrigg Scout Group. He regularly supports a range of important tasks from managing weekly meetings to supporting in the delivery of activities. His enthusiasm and positive attitude has made David a valued role model for the young people and helped to create a welcoming environment for the Beavers and Scouts. Outside of the Scouts, he has contributed towards the community by helping with spreading awareness and raising funds for the Scottish Poppy Appeal.
David's dedication and willingness to help out has made him a valued member of the Leadership Teams. Midlothian Community Action 14th Midlothian Bonnyrigg Scout Group

Congratulations to Mac Fairley who was nominated for Uniformed Volunteer at the Midlothian Volunteer Awards at Newbattle Abbey College this volunteers week.

Mac has been volunteering as an adult and Young Leader for 11 years at the 1st Midlothian Gorebridge Scout Group Currently he is the Team Leader for the Scout and Explorer Sections in the Scout Group. In the last year Mac has Led coordinated with his team 9 Camps and residential experiences in the UK. He is always approachable and listens with genuine interest and encouragement.
