Two students. Two falls. One university.
One life lost. Another fighting to survive.

Within weeks, tragedy has struck the University of Lahore again. These are not “isolated incidents” — they are warning signs of a system that keeps ignoring student mental health until it’s too late.

Silence, delays, and campus closures won’t fix this. Accountability, mental health support, and real institutional reform will.

Student mental health is not optional. It is a human rights issue.
Students deserve protection, not neglect.

On 3 January 2026, the United States launched a series of airstrikes on Venezuela and captured sitting president Nicolás Maduro. The attack, codenamed Operation Absolute Resolve, began when the United States Armed Forces bombed locations across northern Venezuela around 2:00 a.m. local time (Wikipedia, January 2026).

Such actions raise serious concerns under international humanitarian and human rights law, particularly regarding state sovereignty, civilian protection, and the prohibition of unlawful use of force under the UN Charter.

The International Human Rights Society (IHRS) strongly condemns this act. Violations of human rights and international law are unacceptable under any circumstances.
