⚽️⚽️ Match Report - Under 13s ⚽️⚽️
Croesyceiliog Athletic FC U13s 4–0 Cwmbran United U13s
Congratulations to our Croesyceiliog Athletic U13s on securing a 4–0 home victory against Cwmbran United this morning.
Credit must also go to a stubborn Cwmbran United side, who played their part in today's fixture and made sure the boys had a game to learn from.
From an Athletic perspective, the overall performance wasn't quite at the level we'd expect or something to shout about. While the result is pleasing, there are plenty of areas we need to improve on. Fixtures like this are important learning opportunities, and it's now about taking those lessons forward into the coming weeks.
The boys need to start transferring the quality and intensity they show in training into their match performances. The energy, attitude and application shown during our sessions must become a consistent part of our game on a matchday. We know what this group is capable of, but it's about turning that potential into better performances on the pitch.
There were still some positives to take from the morning, with a clean sheet and some good individual performances. Cai put in a solid shift, while Marshall showed great composure and continued his good form from last week.
Box’d PoTM was Jay 🏆 deservedly took home the Player of the Match. He worked tirelessly in the final third, constantly looking to make things happen and posing a threat in front of goal throughout the game. Well done, Jay!
The scoreline is a positive, but the focus now turns to learning, improving and making sure we carry our training standards into every fixture.
There is plenty more to come from this group, and it's up to us to keep working hard and moving in the right direction.
