In this hot weather, remember to keep safe, drink plenty of water and keep in the shade where possible!

You may think that swimming in a river, reservoir or lake would be very refreshing right now but unauthorized swimming can be deadly

Please read the guidance below to keep yourself and others safe during this heatwave!

Entering the water at a reservoir can be fatal.

A massive congratulations to 3 of our young people in the district who were chosen for the World Scout Jamboree in Poland 2027! Well done to George, a scout from 1st Panteg Scout Group and Finn and Mel, explorers from FreeSpirit ESU. We can't wait to follow your journey and hear all about your international adventures!

At Freespirit ESUs Christmas party, two presents were given out!

Firstly to Elaine Burrill who was presented with a present to say thank you for leading Torfaen District for 10 years!

And a big congratulations to Sax who has earned her 15 year award, llongyfarchiadau!

Christmas is approaching and Squirrels, Cubs, Beavers Scouts and Explorers from across Torfaen attended the annual Christingle service at Holy Trinity church in Pontnewydd. The church was packed and young people lit Christingles they had made in their weekly sessions, sung Christmas songs as well as having a game of "pin the item on the orange". Groups all have Christmas activities planned before they finish for the festive break.
