Every now and then, someone does something that touches your heart and reminds you what really matters. 💙

Kim, one of our fantastic Service User Representatives, has been looking forward to celebrating her 70th birthday all year, but she’s decided to postpone her big party until two of her good friends are well enough to join in the celebrations. 🥰 That’s just the lovely, thoughtful person Kim is!

Kim, you are very special! 🌟 Thank you for reminding us how much friendship, thoughtfulness and putting others first mean.

Of course, we couldn’t let your special birthday pass without a little celebration, so we enjoyed looking back at our favourite photos over a lovely birthday brunch instead! 🥂🎂

💖 Good Luck, Ros & Stephanie! 💖

This Friday, Ros and Stephanie will be taking part in the Starlight 10K Night Glow Run/Walk to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Decked out in their glow-in-the-dark gear, they'll be lighting up the night for a cause that means so much to so many of us. For Ros, this challenge is especially close to her heart after losing her mum to cancer.

We'll be cheering them both on and thinking of them every step of the way as they light up the night and raise money for such an important cause. Good luck ladies, we're all behind you!

We're proud to share that Expanding Horizons has been recognised by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) as'Practice Worth Sharing' for our outcomes-focused monitoring approach.

Our system helps us evidence what really matters - meaningful outcomes, growing independence, and ensuring people receive the right support at the right time.

As highlighted by CIW:

"The Outcomes Monitoring System has enabled Expanding Horizons to evidence life-changing progress for the people it supports."

The article highlights how our structured outcomes monitoring system helps ensure every person we support remains at the centre of decision-making, with progress measured against goals that genuinely matter to them. From accessing the community independently and building new relationships, to gaining employment, developing life skills, and moving into more independent living arrangements, the focus is always on achieving meaningful outcomes.
