The Cushendall Festival Committee asked the Men's Shed to make a Beach Toy Library for the beach area.
This is what we came up with.
It was duly filled with buckets , spades and trucks etc. For children's enjoyment in the sand.
The Key words were.
BORROW , PLAY , And RETURN.
A Lovely addition to the beach area over the summer months.
We hope we fulfilled the Brief ok ?

The Men's Shed had an open night during the Heart of the Glens festival. We would like to thank everyone who came along. Purchased some hand crafted goods and enjoyed the evening.
A special thanks goes out to Kearneys Costcutter in Waterfoot who contributed to our tea/ coffee and nibbles etc.👍

A new project from Stephen and Joe in the Men's Shed.
A selection of hand carved wooden pens.
All made locally from recycled materials.
We have pens made from oak, elm, walnut, cherry, yew, etc. even ones made from Ash from broken ' hurls' !
Also ones in a more modern theme made from sawdust encased in resin !
Take your pick, would make a lovely gift for someone special.

The Men's Shed was involved in making 15 small Christmas trees from recycled pallet wood. This was in conjunction with the Heart of the Glens Festival Committee that had the idea of brightening up the village for Christmas.
Well done folks, they look great !
