Morning everyone. Just to let you all know that the lodge donated a second defibrillator unit last night to Marcus at The Halfway House Inn Willand for the needs of the patrons and the wider community of Willand. Thanks to Marcus and the team for hosting the lodge so we thought to reciprocate with a donation of a life saving piece of equipment.

Tonight we were pleased to present a defibrillator to the Tiverton Small Bore Rifle Association of which I am a member.
Money was raised in the lodge and we thought that a defibrillator was a great idea to support our community and support immediate aid for those who have a cardiac emergency. The unit is switchable between child and adult as a cardiac emergency can happen to anyone.

Two more special causes have received donations from the lodge. Firstly we were pleased to hand over a cheque for £1,300 to the Mid Devon Messenger who provide spoken news and book readings for the visually impaired local community. The money has been donated by the lodge members over the year from draws and raffles!

Final donation job of the year on behalf of my dear friend Bro. Dave Smale RoH HM who sadly passed at the end of September. Bro. Dave was PGP 2023 for the Exeter Province and I was his deputy but due to medical reasons he wasn’t able to present his appeal money or nominate his charity. On the left of the picture, his daughter Helen and Granddaughters Siobhan and Katelyn chose “Made-Well CIC” as the recipient.
It was my honour to go to Hatherleigh and to present the cheque for £700.00 to Emma Hawkins of Made-Well on behalf of Dave’s family, the province and the RAOB.

Whilst on a previous visit to Vranch House School, I was asked by the staff if I could help get Eva a laptop/tablet to reduce the weight of books that she has to carry around School. Eva suffers from Muscular Dystrophy and so we dug deep and got her a top spec 2 in 1 laptop, mouse and backpack to put it all in.
The money was raised from personal donations from the 8 brothers in my lodge, Ye Culm Valley 3708
Good luck for the future with your studies.

Fancy doing some good? Want to find out more about the “Buffs”?
Give me a PM and I’ll tell you more.

Happy Christmas everyone x

Today I made my presentation to Kate Moss CEO of Vranch House School for FOUR THOUSAND POUNDS! This year I was nominated and voted in as the Provincial Grand Primo for the Exeter Province. My charity appeal was for the Vranch House School and the money was raised by a combination of draws for homemake cake (made by my wife Mandy and youngest daughter Holly) also a prize draw (40 prizes) and personal donations from all of the lodges in the province which I visited during my tenure as the Boss!
I become the “Immediate Past Provincial Grand Primo” and welcome the PGP for next year
Bro. Tony Lee ROH.

Another presentation day yesterday at Vranch House School.
Firstly, I made my Provincial Grand Primo 2024 appeal cheque presentation of a whopping FOUR THOUSAND POUNDS to aid the building of the specialist Trim Trail for the kids at the school. I raised the money from twelve monthly cake draws when hosting Provincial Grand Lodge, (Thanks go to my wife Mandy and youngest Daughter Holly for making a super selection of cakes!!) I also had a prize draw with over 40 different prizes and also by visiting all of the lodges in the province with my begging bowl! Pictures show me and my officers handing over the massive comedy cheque to Kate Moss, CEO of Vranch House School.
My thanks to all who supported me for the appeal.
