WiTS formed in 2013 by a few like-minded people.

Ladies & Gentleman,boys and girls & those charming folk somewhere in between, welcome to WiTS! No professional actors are amongst our troupe and many of our members were doing it for the very first time yet showed great enthusiasm and everybody works so hard to put on a great performance. Not just the actors, so much work goes o

n behind the scenes with scene painting, prop making, set design, costumes etc. it is breath-taking. An unpaid group of people who’s only rewards are seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of our audience. We will always welcome new members with open arms and take great pleasure in seeing them blossom in confidence on the stage. Even if you don’t want to tread the boards you may want to just express your creative side with art, dressmaking, scene building etc. We meet at the Village Hall every Friday evening from 7pm. Or check out our page. We keep the club together when not rehearsing with a social side Bowling, Skittles, Christmas party and a premiere evening to see the shows from the audience’s point of view. Good morning WiTS Family,

Today we say a loving but sad goodbye to one of our founding members and a driving & tenacious force for over a decade of WiTS fun and games, Sam Fincher.

Not only a founding member, but long serving treasurer, committee member, cast member, technical wizard, village hall caretaker (a role he took huge pride in) and the very best friend and teacher. Sam leaves a huge hole in WiTS that will never be truly filled (though of course, as I know Sam would agree, ‘the show must go on’❤️)

To mark his memorial service today, we would ask that you post any pictures or memories you have about Sam in the comments on this post.

Thank you, Sam. We love you, we miss you and you were the very best.
