We are fundraising for a vaccine treatment in the USA to prevent relapse for High risk Neuroblastoma.

After 12 rounds of chemotherapy and a long tough year for Cayla, we finally had some good news last month that we would love to share!

Final scans results show that Cayla’s cancer is now in a metabolic state, her tumour has shrunk and is inactive! Cayla’s consultant considers this outcome to be the best possible result from the beacon 2 trial!

To add to this fantastic news, against all odds, Cayla has also been accepted onto the DFMO trial funded by the NHS, this is 2 years of daily oral treatment which is proven to target any new Neuroblastoma cells from regenerating!

This is the absolute best possible outcome to treatment that we could have hoped for as a family!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last year, once again Cayla has proved she is an incredibly strong girl, her fight continues. With her amazing support!🎗️❤️

It only felt appropriate that I share an update about Cayla! I apologise that it has been a while since I’ve posted, life has returned to somewhat ‘normal ‘for us and we’ve been enjoying every moment!

Cayla had a couple of scans over the last few weeks and we are delighted to share that she remains cancer free! 💕

As you can see from the pictures below Cayla is thriving which is amazing to see! 🤩

It’s been a while since posting, so I thought I would update you all on how Cayla is doing!

Life after treatment has definitely been easier to adjust to for us this time around, everything has just fallen into place with school, work & general day to day!

Cayla recently had her first post treatment scan and some other tests & we are overjoyed to let you all know that she is still CANCER FREE! ♥️

After last years shock of Cayla’s relapse at Christmas, we are very much looking forward to it this year & we will definitely be making up for it 🎄🎅🏼🎁

Today we had the most incredible experience at the Young Lives vs Cancer flying day at Henstridge Airfield! Both Cayla and Finn had the best day watching the planes & even getting to fly in them!

A big thank you to both the charity & airfield for organising such a great event for families facing childhood cancer! Memories we will all cherish forever! ✈️💕

Today Cayla had a surgery to remove her Hickman line. It all went well & she is now ‘wiggly’ free! Cayla can’t wait to enjoy proper baths, swimming & other activities that she has missed out on in the last 6 months!

Her Hickman line has been a life line for delivering chemotherapy & medications, whilst also allowing the oncology team to take and give blood, this has made it easier for cayla as she hasn’t needed to have too many needles!

Cayla chose to keep her line as a souvenir of her journey! 😅

We also recently received some good news with Cayla’s end of treatment scans! We are over the moon to say that Cayla is back into remission & has no evidence of disease 🙏🏼 it’s been tough to see Cayla go through treatment for a second time, but we remain hopeful for the future 💖

Cayla finally got to ring the end of radiotherapy bell today after finishing her second fight with Neuroblastoma! Such a proud moment for us all & makes today an even bigger day to celebrate! 💪🏼🔔❤️
