I love raising money for charities that I'm passionate about, it is very rewarding as I love helping people and trying to make a difference, it is one of my many passions. I love Exmoor "the sea meeting the moors suits my fundraising down to the ground"
I started fundraising in 2009 and have raised £18,064.02 up until June 2019. I haven't done any fundraising for the last 4 years but am about to embark on a new charity venture for Diabetes UK. My fundraisers to date are:
April 2009 - I did a sponsored swim at Porlock weir in the dark dressed in my pjs and red nose for Comic relief, raising £400. October 2011 - I went back in the sea at Lee bay, this time in my Halloween outfit, in the highest tide of the year, raising £710 for Porlock visitors centre. March 2012 - I did another sponsored swim at Lee Bay at 6.40am it was cold, dark and I was wearing my union jack flag in true British style, raising another £590 for Porlock Visitors Centre. April 2013 - I decided to stay on dry ground and do a 13 mile sponsored walk, still in fancy dress, this time as little red riding hood, I raised £1,178 which was split between Croft House care home and Culbone church. My biggest challenge I started in January 2012 and finished a further two years later, I made a WI style calendar called the Exmoor Belles charity calendar 2014, it launched in September 2013, we raised a profit of £5300 for the 12 individually chosen charities.
