Following on from the vandalism that took place over last weekend we are saddened to report that on Monday evening/night a further "attack" took place and this time involved our other classroom which we use for meetings and at some stage wish to offer to the community for use by small groups, individuals etc.

Entry was forced through one of the side windows but this time involved the theft of a television and projector. Apart for the damage to the structure and the mess created the main contents, display boards, desks etc were untouched.

Once again the police have been involved and enquiries are ongoing.

MINDLESS VANDALISM
There has been little to report in the way of realistic progress over the past few months but we remain a dedicated group of volunteers, albeit a small group, intent on maintaining the Navigation site until suitable arrangements are eventually made for its revival as a community based venue. That maintenance is time consuming and laborious.
It is therefore with considerable sadness and annoyance that over the weekend a break in occurred resulting in one of the classrooms being completely trashed together with other damage and mayhem being caused around the site.
The video shows the extent of the mindless vandalism to the classroom used by ARC for training youngsters in the construction industry. ARC have worked closely with us over the past few years and assist with general maintenance and upkeep.
Our own welfare cabin was attacked with the stair hand rail destroyed. Fortunately access to the cabin was not made but the drainage pipes at the rear were vandalised. The contents of a container were spread around and the culprits must have spent a considerable time on site.
Needless to say the cost in reparation is an unnecessary expense let alone the manpower needed to repair the damage and replace locks etc.
The police have been informed and enquiries are ongoing.

This Halfords key and Key Code card has been found on the Navigation site. If you are missing this key and wish to have it back please make contact with us and explain why you were on site as an unauthorised person.. The site is not generally open to the public for health and safety reasons but we are always willing to show interested parties around the site by appointment

Marie’s second exhibition is now in full swing! This is being held at Bedwellty House, Tredegar and paintings will be on display for the rest of May.
Some of the work may have been seen at previous exhibitions but there are many new pieces!
Pay a visit to the venue, it is a pleasant park to explore and there is also the Orchid Tearooms where a varied selection of refreshments can be obtained.

It has been a while since any new posts have been submitted. Technology is a wonderful thing until it all goes wrong. A major problem occurred with our website, e-commerce platform and the Navigation email system. As a result many hours were spent in attempting to resolve the issue.
Thankfully we have been able to relaunch the website, e-commerce sections and email setup, albeit with another website host.
