The MirandaNet Fellowship

The MirandaNet Fellowship is a non-profit making professional organisation that I established in 1992. At the time, I was teaching educators about computers in schools and it was clear that a one day training was not enough. But the internet suddenly offered an opportunity for educators to go on sharing policy and practice in this emerging field when the workshop had fin

ished. Much later BECTA, the UK government agency, called the MirandaNet Fellowship the Facebook of the international ICT community. We now number over 1,000 members in 80 countries from varied professional backgrounds in education innovation. UNESCO called MirandaNet the Robin Hood of professional development in digital technologies because we run iCatalyst action research programmes with members as co-researchers. These projects are mostly funded by industry and government although schools and clusters also commission a programme suited to their need for evidence of learning. Visiting the Knowledge Hub will provide you with an idea of the range of topics that members have tackled over the years collaboratively and the articles they have published. I look forward to welcoming you. Dr Christina Preston, Professor of Education Innovation, Founder of MirandaNet Fellowship.
