Today is my final day as a Member Pioneer at Co-op What a fabulous opportunity to engage with the community and to get to know so many wonderful groups, charities and people doing so many good things locally.
It's been a pleasure working with and supporting you all over the last 4 years. Thank you

Today is CARNIVAL DAY and with your help we can make this year's Carnival the most fun AND the most sustainable carnival yet!

Please bring reusable items like a water bottle, a cup and bag with you for refills and if possible walk or cycle to the event.

Please use the recycling bins available and support Plastic Free Crowthorne by choosing sustainable options wherever possible.

I went to The Happy Hedgehog Rescue Yateley to give some Co-op refreshments today for their Hedgehog talk on Saturday. I was thrilled to be shown around and to get the opportunity to hold one of the orphaned babies in their care.
The event is on Saturday and has fabulous guest speakers, not to be missed for wildlife lovers. Tickets available on the door or in advance.

We're looking for Litter Picking volunteers to support us walk behind the procession and to litter pick on the field at the end of the day (5-6pm). Surfing outfits are voluntary, but encouraged!😁

It’s the end of an era as Co-op announce this week, their plans to remove their Member Pioneer role from our local communities.
The past 4 years working with residents and local community groups has been such a rewarding experience and giving even the smallest bit of support or guidance to others to help make our community a better place, has been an absolute pleasure.
My role has been very varied but always with supporting our community as its core focus.
From regular donations of refreshments to groups, publicity of events, being a connector and facilitator for like minded groups of people and being the face of Co-op for community, it has been a never ending whirlwind of activity.
During my role I have met the most amazing and selfless people, many of whom give up their time as volunteers to help others and make our local area a much nicer place to be.
Sadly no locally based replacement role will be introduced and the UK Member Pioneer Team now face redundancy.
During the consultation period I hope to meet with as many of you as possible to provide any last min immediate support and to take you up on those final cups of tea and bits of cake!
Thank you to everyone who has made my role so enjoyable since 2020

Great to attend the awards day at Pinewood FC today to see the Co-op sponsored kit & present Coop footballs and bibs to the U8's team.
We also raised £90 for Barnardo's our national charity, with a tombola.
