“If you could speak directly to the decision maker… what would you say?”

We asked the questions the “decision makers” chose not to.

So here it is - the truth.
Real mothers. Real experiences. Real consequences.

This is their answer.

And we are not finished.

Over the coming days, we’ll be sharing more - the difficult questions, and the devastating reality of what this closure has meant for local families.

Please listen.
Really listen.

Reopen our Birthing Centre.

Local mothers, reduced to tears by a decision made behind closed doors.

But these voices won’t be silenced.

Reopen our Birth Centre.

These are REAL stories from local mums.

Arriving at hospital already fully dilated.

Being told “there’s no space here.”

Giving birth feeling anxious, unsupported, and far from home.

The Crowborough Birthing Centre was more than a service - it was safety, familiarity, and care.

So WHY is it still closed?

We have the evidence. We have the voices.

And now, decisions about its future are being made behind closed doors.

That’s not good enough.

This meeting on Thursday should be public.

Women deserve transparency. Families deserve answers.

Reopen the birthing centre.

CROWBOROUGH BREASTFEEDING CAFE IS OPEN 💛

There seems to be some confusion circulating, so here are the facts about our much loved breastfeeding café:

✨ It is OPEN! The closure of the birthing centre has not affected the café.

👶 Who it’s for: The café generally supports babies up to 12 weeks, (with those under 28 days prioritised), HOWEVER, if your baby is older and you need support, please still come along - you will not be turned away. They are there to help!

👨‍👩‍👧 Siblings: Older children are welcome. It’s not a toddler group, so we just ask everyone to help keep the space calm and supportive for new mums and their babies.

🍰 Everyone is welcome: You can attend regardless of where you gave birth - this is a community space for all local families (and yes… the cake is still the best across Kent & East Sussex 👏🏻 ).

Please help us by sharing accurate information so that anyone who needs support knows they can still access it 💛
