A fantastic project supported by Drumquin Historical Society! It’s so important that we appreciate and protect our ancient heritage- otherwise we’ll lose these irreplaceable ancients sites!

A court tomb in Co Tyrone, which has been in existence for 5,500 years, has been carefully preserved in a collaborative effort with local historians and NI Water.

We’ll be there so call by if you’re about!

The Committee of the Federation for Ulster Local Studies is pleased to announce our much loved (and missed) Speaker's List is coming back!

Due to GDPR concerns we've had to rethink how we share out much missed speaker's list that was featured on our old website. We're working on creating a new version but we need the details of speakers.

If you do talks on local interest topics and would like to be included in our new list we want to hear from you. Simply fill out the form on our website by following the link- https://www.ulsterlocalstudies.org/join-our-speakers-list

Feel free to pass along the link below to anyone who wants to be featured as we want lots of top quality speakers for our members to choose from when they're putting together their programmes!

Fantastic to see a FULS member get some USA-NI 250 funding for their new exhibition and accompanying resources- a brilliant opportunity for an organisation doing some excellent research and work within their locality!

Congratulations Donaghmore Historical Society!

✨ Good news! Donaghmore Historical Society has been awarded £14,200 under USA–NI 250 to create 'Donaghmore to the New World: Ulster Links to the Spirit of 1776.'
📜 We’ll produce exhibition panels, a booklet, a schools resource and a digital map putting Donaghmore, Dungannon & the surrounding area on the map and sharing our stories with the diaspora.
🙏 More soon and thank you to everyone who supports our work.

Acknowledgement: This festival has been supported under the
USA – NI 250 programme of the Department for Communities.
