Summer Workshops for Kids
TGL Workshops is a Summer programme of workshops aimed at children between 5 and 11 years old and aims to teach them all about growing their own food and about their natural environment. Over the course of the Summer, through various activities, the children will learn: -How to sow seeds, care for young plants and harvest their own food -Be able to identify a diverse array of both flora and fauna -What is involved in the care of livestock and small animals The sessions start on Monday 23rd July and will be set out as follows: Mondays - Little Growers - Cost £3.50 per hour Suitable for 5 - 7 year olds This day will be broken into 3 sessions: 9am - 11am, 11am - 1pm & 1pm - 3pm
The Little Growers sessions are all about learning where plants come from and how to grow them. We will look at seeds and learn how to plant them, how to water plants and why water is important, we will draw and paint pictures of our plants and gardens and we will look at creepy crawlies and try to learn their names.
Thursdays - Budding Ecologists - £15 per session Suitable for 8 - 11 year olds This will be one session: 9am - 3pm
