Today marks the first day of Volunteers’ Week, a chance for us to celebrate all of the incredible volunteers who help in every single area of our Hospice.

Without them we simply could not provide the compassionate care that we do. Every hour generously given by a volunteer, makes a difference to the people in our community who need our care.

10 Year Anniversary 🎉🥳❤️
Wow - can you believe that we have been open for 10 years!! This week we are not only celebrating the shop but also the volunteers, staff, customers and donors who have made us as successful as we are 😍. Year on year we are astounded by the support from the community, which enables us to support the running of St Cuthberts Hospice in Durham.
We would like to say a very big ‘Thank You’. Pop into the shop to celebrate with us and have a piece of cake, a go at our lucky dips and a chat.

Meet Ian, our famous 5p Guy 💚

For years, Ian has supported St Cuthbert’s Hospice by collecting 5p coins, raising an incredible amount to help support the care we provide.

But as more of us move to card and phone payments, fewer 5p coins are finding their way into collection pots.

Ian is now encouraging people to support the hospice with a regular £3 monthly donation instead - helping to continue making a difference for local families who need us most.
