A plant swap stand along the railway lines along the back of Railway Terrace!

Anyone after some clumping bamboo? We have some Fargesia Nitilda 'Black Pearl'. This will not invade your garden and is clumping.

Easily 8-9ft high and will create an instant impact as screening or a specimen plant.

You can't get this in garden centres and if you can (rarely), it would be £30+ for a tiny pot max 3ft in height.

Whilst everything else off the stand is free we would charge £20 a clump for this due to its rarity and the fact we need a new spade as we broke ours splitting it!!

Message us if you are interested. This will fit in a car, the canes are very flexible and can be bent round.

Last photo shows our specimen plant and the size they can get to (if allowed) after 8 years.

We're back for 2026... First up is several big clumps of crocosmia, orange flowered 👍

As always free to collect. If you have any surplus why not drop it off for others?

We'll likely have some larger plastic pots on the stand soon as we're having a bit of a clear out 🤞

I have loads of these (no idea on name, if anyone knows do say!) which grow fantastically next to my pond and also seemingly in no soil on some old logs.

The produce lovely blue flowers and the bees love them. If anyone would like some (to save me potting them up) just comment below and I'll leave some on the stand for you.

I don't want to just leave loads on there incase they all dry out!

Some Purple Iris on the stand- will grow quickly and have multiple flowers in no time at all! As always FREE. Feel free to leave something in swap for others 🙂

Been quiet as have been busy (unfortunately not in the garden). A chopped clump of Fargesia 'Nitilda' Black Pearl CLUMPING bamboo. I have several clumps and these are non invasive. Looking. Bit poorly now but will perk up once planted... See comments for photo of one of my mature plants. 👍

Been a while! 'refreshed' the stand. Now have a tomato gardeners delight, cucumber burpless, courgette, seed grown agapanthus and a zanchestia Hercules. All for FREE. Why not drop something off that's surplus to requirements?

Still plenty- chives just coming up (plenty more of anyone wants any) some Iris bareroot (just pop in the ground and they'll grow) and I've popped a lovely hellebore with pink/ white flowers on the bottom.

Happy new year! It's been a while but the plant stand has bits on it... On top left some chives just coming up. Top right pink Jasmine and now bottom shelf some iris I've cleared and even found the label to. Pop them in the ground/ a pot and you'll have lovely purple flowers come summer. All for free! 👍

Plenty still on the stand! Tomato 'Tigerella', sweet peas, Crocosmia, chives and a terracotta pot of thyme! All completely free! 👌

Plenty on the stand this morning, thank you to all who have added things! Not sure what the large root things are?

If anyone wants any more big clumps of Crocosmia let me know and I'll put some out!
