What a change in the weather ☔️ but we didnt let the rain dampen our spirits at this mornings café.
We had an amazing attendance and welcomed a new gentleman and his carer which is always a bonus.
After shaking of the raincoats and umbrella's everyone was welcomed with hot drinks and yummy home made cakes ☕️🍰🍪 Many thanks to our bakers, Margaret, Amanda and Viv.
Cat Attewell from Home Instead Swindon & Vale of White Horse worked her magic and entertained us with puzzles, quizzes and games before the singing and dancing 🕺 🎶🕺

'Raffle Queen' Kath helped us raise some much needed funds.
Our lovely Pets As Therapy dogs, Lucy and Snowball spent time with people and had lots of fuss made 🐕‍🦺🐕 Thanks to Trish and Wendy for venturing out with them.
We had support from Sue our local Dementia Advisor and Louise from WCC Wellbeing Team.

One of our members, Doreen had held a fundraising event for Dementia UK, she also presented us with a donation today from that event so a huge 'Thanks' to her and all who attended. We reply on sponsorships and donations to be able to continue to run the cafe FOC. If this is something you may be able to help with, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

We have 2 Birthdays this month, one of our volunteers, Margaret and Cat. After singing 'Happy Birthday' we presented them both with flowers as a 'Thank you' for the support and time they give us.

Today's Cafe was very kindly sponsored by Mark @ The Vale in Cricklade so a big thanks to him.

Last but not least, my huge 'Thanks' goes to the ladies who just get on with it and make it happen 👏 Julie, Jean, Kath, Margaret and Viv. They are all 🌟

If you have any type of memory change and would like to join us, we'll do it all again on Wednesday July 1st, 10.30 - 12.30 in the Town Hall Annexe. We'll be joined by some volunteers from Cricklade Historical Society with some artifacts to share with us before the singing and dancing 🎶 🕺

What a miserable day weather wise, but it didnt put a dampener on us enjoying another busy cafe.
We started the morning with welcoming everyone and after settling down, hot drinks and lovely home made cakes were enjoyed.
We were joined by some 'young' friends from Thames Pre-School Cricklade, who are always a absolute delight. They did some colouring with us and then we sang along to 'wheels on the bus' and 'wind the bobbin up'. To look around the room, watching people join in and the smiles, shows how beneficial these visits are to both generations.
Our local PCSO Mo and new recruit Erin popped into say hello so it was also lovely to see them and the children together. Mo and Erin also joined us on the dance floor 💃 (videos to follow) 😅
Our 'Raffle Queen' Kath organised the raffle and as always the money raised really helps our funds.
We ended the morning with singing and dancing, although the DJ still needs some practice 🫣😂
The cafe was kindly sponsored by Mrs Karen Hart so huge thanks to her.

It was another super, relaxed, fun morning so thank you to everyone who makes this possible.
Last but by no means least, huge thanks to our lovely team of volunteers, Jean, Julie, kath, Margaret and Viv without whom the 'magic' wouldn't happen.

Our next Cafe in on Wednesday 3rd June when we'll do it all again.
Anyone with any type of memory changes, family and carers are all very welcome.

Hello to all our friends and supporters on this lovely day 😎
Due to unforseen circumstances and many volunteers attending something, we have made the decision to postpone the cafe on Wed 6th May until Wed 13th May. Everything else will remain the same and we will revert back to the 1st Wednesday from June onwards.
We are letting all our members/carers know and will follow it up with reminders.
If anyone you know was thinking of joining us on the 6th, we'd appreciate it if you can please advise them.
Watch this space for our poster advertising the 13th May Cafe.
