Peak Peers is a creative programme for people aged 18–30, rooted in the landscapes and imagination of rural Wales. The programme brings young people together with artists, theatre-makers, ecologists, activists, and designers.

📅 Dates: May – August
📍 Abergavenny, Crickhowell and South-East Wales
💷 Support: £600 bursary to attend
ℹ️ Eligibility: Ages 18—30, living within one hour of Peak sites

🌱Our community gardening group will be at Abergavenny's Seedy Sunday tomorrow (1st March)! Come and say hello from 11am at Abergavenny Community Centre.
🌻Our Plot is a friendly community-led gardening group for adults of all ages to work together to plant and grow in raised beds towards seasonal shared meals.
📍Key Details: Fortnightly on Thursday afternoons (March – October) at The Old School, Crickhowell , for adults (18+) living within an hour of Crickhowell

Back for 2026 from this Friday!

Join Brecon & District Mind's Pottery for Wellbeing at Peak.
Potter Martin Craddock guides and encourages participants to learn hand-building techniques to make whatever they choose, or simply to relax and enjoy handling the clay in the peaceful, daylit studio of The Old School, Crickhowell.

💚These sessions are primarily for wellbeing rather than a structured technical pottery course.
📌9:30-4pm (morning and afternoon sessions)
💰£3 per session (all materials, tools and facilities provided)

Nadheem Singh’s commission, humble stones, is now on view at Platfform 2, Y Fenni Station and continues until early December 2025.

humble stones features two poems interwoven with hand-drawn elements from the artist’s sketchbooks. The work explores the convergence and divergence of natural, geologic, political and national borders – and questions who is excluded, and what is extracted, across these thresholds.

Nadheem Singh is an Indian poet, artist, and facilitator based in Cardiff. Read more about humble stones on the Peak website.

This programme of commissions is funded by the Arts Council of Wales’ Create programme and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

Mae humble stones yn cynnwys dwy gerdd wedi’u cydblethu gydag elfennau o ddarlunio â llaw o lyfr braslunio’r artist. Mae’r gwaith yn archwilio cydgyfeiriad a dargyfeiriad ffiniau naturiol, daearegol, gwleidyddol a chenedlaethol - ac yn cwestiynu pwy sy’n cael eu gadael mas, a beth sy’n cael ei echdynnu ar draws y trothwyon hyn.
